Policies

Inclusions and Exclusions:

  • Includes: accommodation, teas/coffees, breakfast and daily housekeeping.
  • Excludes: all drinks, laundry, telephone calls, transfers, gratuities and any other items of a personal nature.

Terms and Conditions:

  • All rates are in South African Rands and include VAT.
  • Children are welcome at Old Bank Hotel, subject to availability of child-friendly rooms and equipment.
    Selected rooms can accommodate 1 child (0-17yrs) sharing with parents.
  • Standard child rates (unless specified otherwise in e.g. special offers):
    - Infants 0-3 year stay free when sharing with adults.
    - Children 4-12 years are charged a flat fee of R450 per child, per night when sharing with adults.
    - Children 13 -17 years are charged a flat fee of R595 per child, per night when sharing with adults.
    - Children staying in a room by themselves will be charged full adult rates.
  • Please note that all guests will be required to sign an indemnity form on arrival.
  • Old Bank Hotel reserves the right to limit the number of reduced rate requests as may apply to drivers, pilots and guides.
  • Old Bank Hotel reserves the right to admit any guest/s and furthermore retains the right to have remove, any guest/s whose behaviour impacts negatively on other guests and/or staff.
  • 50% non-refundable deposit will be required to confirm a booking. 
  • The remaining balance is to be paid when checking in to Old Bank Hotel. 

**Lion Roars retains the right to review these rates without prior notice subject to changing economic factors including exchange rates and inflation.

Cancellation Policy:

Current to 30 September 2023:

  • 29-15 days prior to arrival: 50%
  • 14-01 days prior to arrival: 80%
  • No Show: 100%

COVID CANCELLATION (valid until 30 Sep 22):

In cases where a guest is prevented from taking up their booking due to any governmental regulation, such as closure of borders or any medical incident relating to COVID 19 (medical proof required), all cancellation costs will be waived and all monies will be refunded. This applies to all bookings up to 48 hours of arrival. Proof of positive test, or Covid travel disruption documents will need to be provided. For any non-Covid related cancellations the standard cancellation terms will apply. Lion Roars retains the right to amend terms without prior notice.
